Georgina Point Heritage Park

Perched at the northern tip of Mayne Island, Georgina Point Heritage Park is part of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve and home to the historic Active Pass Lighthouse. Originally established in 1885 to guide ships through the narrow, treacherous waters of Active Pass, the scenic headland features grassy lawns and seaside benches overlooking the bustling marine channel. It is an exceptional front-row vantage point for watching passing pods of orcas, harbour seals, and marine birds feeding in the nutrient-rich currents, as well as a premier spot on the island to take in dramatic, glowing sunsets over the water.
