Historic Brick Dock (East Side Sunrise Spot)

Built in 1911 by the Franco-Canadian Brickworks Company, this iconic concrete pier near Bennett Bay is one of Mayne Island's most unique historic landmarks. Japanese Memorial Garden

Nestled in Dinner Bay Park, the Mayne Island Japanese Memorial Garden is a tranquil sanctuary built to honor the island’s early Japanese settlers who farmed and lived here from 1900 to 1942. Lovingly created and maintained by local volunteers, this peaceful oasis features winding paths, stepping-stone and zigzag bridges, a koi pond, waterfall, and a quiet meditation hut. Don't miss the historical charcoal kiln replica or the magical "Festival of Lights" display held during the winter holidays. Admission is by donation.
